The man in the foreground is bald with a gray beard, pointing with his finger and making a gesture with his other hand. The man in the background has curly dark hair and a beard. Gym equipment is visible behind them.

¿What is The Open?

The Open is a challenge in which more than 12,000 CrossFit gyms participate internationally.

At CrossFit Rincón, it is our biggest event of the year.

The challenge lasts 3 weeks. Each week CrossFit HQ announces a workout and participants have 5 days to complete the workout and upload their scores to their CrossFit Games profile.

¿Who can participate?

YOU AND YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY!

What we like most about The Open is that EVERYONE CAN PARTICIPATE.

The Open offers several categories to choose from, and each category has its own standards. This year participants can chose between:

Foundations (Fundamentals, Beginners)

Scaled (Intermediate)

RX (Advanced)

If you have been practicing this sport for a short time, DON'T WORRY! We have a category for you.

NO EXCUSES!

¿When does The Open begin?

The Open begins on February 27th, 2025. The first workout, known as 25.1 (25 = year 2025, .1 = first event) will be announced on Thursday, February 27th. Participants will have until Monday, March 3rd to upload their results to their CrossFit Games profile.

Important dates:

25.1: February 27th-March 3rd

25.2: March 6th-March 10th

25.3: March 13th-March 17th

At CrossFit Rincón you will have the opportunity to complete each event on Fridays (8am, 9am and 4:30pm-7:30pm) and Saturdays of each week.

¿How do I sign up for The Open?

Today is a great day to sign up for the 2025 CrossFit Open!

¿Do I need a judge to participate?

Anyone wishing to participate in The Open will have a judge assigned for each event (25.1, 25.2, 25.3)

The judges are assigned by one of our coaches. The judge is in charge of counting the repetitions and making sure that each athlete is meeting the standards established by CrossFit HQ.

At the end of each event, your judge will give you your scoresheet. After verifying your result, you will sign the sheet and with this you will be able to upload your result to your CrossFit Games profile.

¿Can I be a judge?

The Open would not be possible without our team of judges!

To be a judge at The Open 2025 it is necessary to complete the online judges course (also available in Spanish). The link to the judges course will be shared soon.

We want to encourage our athletes to become judges this year! The judges course is an excellent opportunity to learn a little more about the CrossFit methodology, the progressions and standards of each movement, the common mistakes and the corrections of the fundamental CrossFit movements.

Not only that! By being a judge you will have an opportunity to get to know the members that are part of your CrossFit Rincón community a little more.

¿What happens when The Open ends?

At the end of the 3 weeks of The Open you will be able to see your final result in a leaderboard. This leaderboard will include EVERY person who participated in The Open (we're talking over 400,000 people!)

You can also filter your results by creating a leaderboard that includes only people in your category. Example: women between 34-39 years old who have participated in the beginner category AND who live in Spain.

Regardless of the end result, THE BEST REWARD is knowing that you gave the BEST of YOU!

Will you accept the challenge?
